How does Seresto Flea and Tick Collar Work?

Seresto collar for dogs is made with a unique polymer matrix technology that ensures the active ingredients imidacloprid ( controls flea infestations) and flumethrin (kills and repels ticks) are continuously replenished from the site of direct contact over the skin surface for 8 months. These ingredients are slowly released from the collar and spread from head to toe, including the tail.

Together, these ingredients kill and/or repel new ticks within 6 hours after the initial 48 hours of applying the collar. New fleas are killed within 2 hours after 24 hours of application. Protection against further infestations lasts for 8 months.

Direction for use

Weigh your dog and select the appropriate Seresto collar for dogs :

• Seresto Collar for Small Dogs Up to 18 lbs
• Seresto Collar for Large Dogs Over 18 lbs
• Remove the collar from its protective bag and unroll it. Ensure no remnants from the plastic connectors remain inside the collar.
• Put the collar around your dog’s neck and insert the end of the collar through the buckle. Pull the excess collar through the loop(s).
• Fit your 2 fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck to make sure that it is neither too tight nor too loose.
• Cut the excess collar to a length no greater than 1 inch (2 cm) beyond the loop(s).
• Do not cut the excess collar if fitting it on a growing puppy.
• Do not bathe your dog more than once per month to maintain the effectiveness of the collar.
• Replace with a new Seresto flea and tick collar for dogs after 8 months for optimal protection.
