Advantage – Fast-Action Flea Treatment for Cats

Advantage is a rapid-action, easy-to-use, spot-on treatment for cats and kittens to protect against fleas. It is recommended for all cats and kittens from birth or weaning as required. This monthly topical solution kills fleas and flea larvae, treats and prevents flea infestations and reduces the incidence of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). Advantage breaks the flea life cycle and kills fleas emerging from the environment to reinfest the cat. It is safe for use in pregnant and lactating cats.

How does Advantage for Cats work?

Advantage for Cats contains a powerful ingredient, imidacloprid that starts working within one hour of application. It effectively kills adult fleas on contact, meaning fleas do not have to bite the cat. It has also been shown to kill adult fleas and larval fleas within 20 minutes of contact by absorption and stops fleas from feeding within 3-5 minutes of application.

Direction for use

• Weigh your cat beforehand to ensure dosage accuracy.
• Remove the tube from the package.
• Hold the tube in an upright position and pull off the cap.
• Twist the cap to break the seal and then remove the cap from the tube.
• Make your cat stand in a comfortable position.
• Part the hair on the back of the cat’s neck until the skin is visible.
• Squeeze the tube firmly twice by placing the tip of the tube on the skin and empty the entire contents in one spot. 
• Do not apply on wet hair coat.
