Eqvalan Gold- Dewormer Paste for Horses

Eqvalan Gold is an oral paste specially formulated to treat and control multiple worm infections in horses. It is a broad spectrum that treats and controls tapeworms, bots, and roundworms including hairworms, pinworms, ascarids, threadworms, large and small strongyles, mouth stomachworms, lungworms, and summer sores.

How does it work?

It contains the active ingredients Ivermectin and Praziquantel, which kill the infection-causing worms by paralyzing them. These compounds work together to prevent future infection from the worms. The oral paste is safe to use in pregnant and lactating mares and is suitable for foals 6 months of age or more.

Direction for use

• Administer orally using a disposable syringe.
• Rotate the ring ¼ turn to the left to unlock it
• Slide the ring to rest at the required weight marking on the syringe
• Rotate it again ¼ turn to the right to lock it in place
• Insert the tip of the syringe into the horse’s mouth and depress the plunger
• Immediately raise the head of the horse to ensure that the entire dose is swallowed

Dosage

Recommended dose is 200 µg Ivermectin and 1mg of Praziquantel per kg (2.2 lbs) of body weight.

Each marking on the syringe contains enough paste to treat 100kg (220 lbs) of body weight.

Mares: During summer and autumn, regular dosing should be done at the interval every 6-8 weeks.

Stallions: Treat at least twice a year.

Foals: Administer proper dose for strategic treatment at 6-8 week intervals.  

Withholding period: Meat for human consumption- 14 days

Safety
